Casual dating takes a great deal of confidence from both parties involved to enjoy it to the max. If you are really happy with yourself, it will shine through and make you an attractive partner that others may like to possess. Of course, you don’t want to be possessed, so be careful. The more confident you are, the more attractive you will be to others.
Decide just what you want from dating. Being casual when dating consists of dating different people. You don’t want a relationship at this point. You are mainly looking to find someone to hang out with while doing things that you enjoy. You don’t want any type of commitment.
If you are looking to date a particular type of woman or man, be sure that you are going after exactly what you want and don’t settle for less. You should keep your mind open. If you choose to date only women that look like models and you meet someone who is isn’t ugly, just maybe an 8 instead of a 10, and you won’t go out with her, you may have lost out on a great person to hang out with. If you choose to search for a particular quality, try not to make it a superficial quality. I would maintain a high standard for an ethical or moral trait versus a physical trait. The great thing about this type of dating is that there are no strings attached.
When you do see someone you may want to talk to, your brain will show you every bad thing that could happen if you talked to that person. Instead, train your brain to show you all the great things that could happen. If it doesn’t work out, don’t take it personal. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
One thing I must stress for those who want to participate in casual dating is that when you are looking for someone to date, you will need to find someone who is full of confidence. These are the only kind of people that you should be going out with. Any others may become clingy and want too much from you. You can usually tell if someone actually means what they say, when they say they aren’t looking for a relationship. Some will speak these words, but their actions are not saying the same thing. If you notice someone becoming clingy or expecting more from you and you don’t feel the same, I suggest you break it off quickly.
Dating is what you make it. Find other like-minded partners to make this a fun and exciting period in your life. It’s not the destination that matters, but how you get there.
