Dating casually…what is it, really? Is it just going from partner to partner? Is it just sex with no commitment? Is it the beginning of a permanent relationship? It can be all of these things. Ultimately, it is the search for love.
Some people may steer clear of commitment, but people will have emotions regarding any situation. You may fantasize of having your choice of partners and enjoying the best of all worlds, but that is all it is, a fantasy. When two people are interacting with each other, there are emotions involved.
The key to having success in any relationship is communication. If two people are dating, the lines of communication will always have to be open. Complete honesty is the key to keeping it light. Both partners need to want the same thing out of the relationship. The moment someone wants more (or less), is the moment the relationship changes. There is nothing wrong with the relationship changing. It will either grow or end.
All serious relationships have started out casually. Two people hanging out and having fun together. When you are looking to begin dating, you may think you can keep from becoming emotionally involved with another person. Ultimately, when two people are hanging out and enjoying themselves with no holds barred, they start to become attached to each other because of an emotionally shared situation. You have to “like” the person you are hanging out with, so that can lead to more extreme feelings.
If you are just looking for a good time, just hanging out is a great way to start. But when you let go of all inhibitions to truly enjoy the moment, you will be deepening the bonds of either a friendship, or a romantic relationship. When two people enjoy each other, there are only two ways to go. It can’t be helped because it is human nature.
